Sued

This has to be a record for us. Two videos in a week. Who would have thought? But the script for "Sued" arrived in my e-mail this morning. Another 24 hour turnaround. Chris had the idea and wrote the script. Ali recorded his part in the evening before bed, I recorded my part in the morning before the sun was up. Chris was out until after lunch but recorded his part and had it online by mid afternoon. This was all Chris. He edited the video, as well. Brilliant work as always.

One of the thing that I love about Chris is his use of subtle things around him. No one has commented yet on the magazines he is reading. Note the article title at the top. Perfect!


Do we always script? No. Do we always ad lib? Yes. Ali's rant about my mispronouncing Beyounce will go down in the archive as one of the best ever. Plus, he has a great ability to put himself out there even at his on expense. That's pro stuff. Ali is an incredible writer as well. I, me, (Bill) can't script at all. I just record a video on a topic and send it out.

Something you may not know is that all of us edit. No, not at the same time. We all have the ACB intro/outro and I think you'd be hard pressed to tell who edits what. A real testament to the talent and compatibility of ACB.

Kanye

The latest ACB was the fastest turnaround of a video we've ever made. May I add that we are now in three time zones with Ali a day ahead of everyone. "Kanye" hit the news and brought a slew of videos on YouTube. AliChrisBill is comment based and not news based and the topic was a rich one.

On 15 September I sent an e-mail to Ali and Chris with my part attached as a small video. In the e-mail I wrote, "I just sat down and started talking. But I call her Bouncy..to which you say Beyounce!... and I reply "Whatever." Ali replied within a couple of hours, "This is SO FUNNY! I'll film my part ASAP. If we want this vid to be popular we have to jump on the bandwagon fast."

Chris is busier than anyone I know. Yet, he got his video to me by noon Eastern Daylight Time on 16 September. Three hours later it was live on YouTube. With the exception of my "Bouncy" request, everything else was ad libbed. Even when we script we ad lib so there is more content for whoever is editing to use.

I have to be honest. Working with these guys is the most fun I have on YouTube.

Behind the scenes of ACB

Hey guys,

I'm just finishing uploading now. I'd like to talk about today and how the ACB video was made, a sort of 'Behind the scenes of ACB' if you will.

Okay, so a while ago I made the decision that when we made our next ACB it was gonna be scripted by me. (This is the first video that has had any form of script other than us just emailing ideas or reactions or whatever.)

I'm gonna put the script below in case your interested.

So, at 11:45AM (mine and Chris' time) I recieved an email from Bill. Basically he was informing us that ACB was tagged in this game. I started working on a script believing that we were working with the old nerimon 'five things' game. That turned out to be incorrect but rather than scrap the idea, we created a work around.

Chris made a couple of edits to the script (as did Bill) and then Bill sent me his part at about 3PM.

That surprised me. It was so fast! Its what I love about working on ACB is most of time we are quick and reliable. So I went and filmed my bit and Chris got his in about an hour later.

I hadnt asked them to make it today, they just did!

So I said I wanted to edit as well (may as well) I thought, so Bill sent me the intro and outro stuff and I set to work.

It took me longer than usual because I was doing it on Final Cut a program I dont use as much. Having said that, it took longer but it enabled me to do some things that I would have found virtually impossible on iMovie.

So at about 8:30 I finished, and started exporting in a ridiculously big file format. I went on a run. I got back and it was finished. The file was 500MB. I figured I would try and convert it but it degreded the quality too much. So I decided to simply upload it.

So here I am, 10 seconds till the vid finishes uploading.

Yup. Video just finished. Now YouTube does processing which can take anywhere from 10 seconds to 10 hours. (or more!)

I don't want to over hype todays video, but usually I feel like my collab work is WORK and my personal stuff is for fun, but today I really felt like we made a fun cool video, and killed a lazy sunday.

realized it was going to need

Another Video...When?

As I write this know that we'll get to the next video when exams end June 19th. Then, the UK students will get their summer break of 4 days and 17 minutes before fall term.

Here's what we've all been doing.
Ali is knee deep in exams.
Chris is knee deep in exams.
I've taken on alphabetizing my dust according to colour and size.

These exams are very important ans there's nothing worse than video done under duress. Know that shortly after the exams are over we'll be posting with regularity. We are nothing without your subscribing and support. Thank you so very much!

Video Games

Posting of the first of our collab videos. This was fun to do. Actually, not much discussion was made between us about what we would do. I can see that this is going to yield some hysterical moments and some very funny videos.

On a personal note, I have to say that Ali and Chris are two completely amazing people. I have been asked how we managed to interact like that. The honest answer is we didn't plan anything. Ali made the first video and Chris picked up on what he did. When I got their videos I knew what I had to do. That's what makes creating with these guys so amazing.

Taylor (tayloreh) is one of the most amazing guitarists I've ever seen. His music is just right for the collab and we are grateful for his willingness to let us use parts of his great original song, "Somethin Bout You."

ACB Is On It's Way

Exciting news. We have a topic and are sending video files around. By the middle of next week the first one should be posted. It's kind of amazing the way this came together. Since we've all never done anything like this it should be fun to see how it turns out and eventually evolves. Remember, any news about ACB, you'll see it here first.

So, hi, I'm Chris, the younger of the three egos that makes up this wonderful anomaly. When Bill first messaged me about the idea of a series of collab videos he described it as a "sleep-deprivation-induced" - I think that along with "total Brilliance" is really what sums up this whole idea!

"No Punishments, No challenges", just 3 guys, one topic and a truck load laughs; well, you know, thats how we would like it to turn out, it could be total crap but I guess you'll have to watch it to find out eh?

Promo Added

The first promo is up for the new collab for Ali, Chris and Bill. First the swine flu and now this. It was obvious that the way Chris handled the interview with me that he was the third party we had been needing. We all have the same type attitude but different enough to make it interesting. The only video we've discussed has been the Project4Awesome by the Vlog Brothers and how much we'd like to be fully involved in that. The changes in YouTube may be a topic but the way their changing things so slowly its like watching a man bleed to death one drop at a time.

We're all still going to do out personal videos on our own channel. But I will say that if it came down to having to choose, I'd pick to work with these guys because they're both brilliant.

Both Chris and Ali will be posting here as well. I look forward to that. They are smarter than me and may actually be entertaining.
